IV Therapy Q&A

What is IV Therapy?

IV therapy is an outpatient procedure that administers vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants intravenously. This allows the nutrients to bypass your digestive system, providing greater uptake by your cells. When your cells have access to vital nutrients, they’re better equipped to fight illness and help you maintain your health.

What happens during IV Therapy?
iCare Health Services provides IV therapy during an in-office visit.
Your provider reviews your medical records and asks about your goals for treatment. Then, they conduct a physical exam and order blood work and urinalysis to assess your nutrient and hormone levels.
After gathering the necessary information, your provider recommends an IV drip that aligns with your needs. They clean and sterilize your arm and carefully insert the IV drip into a vein. During treatment, you can read a book, watch a movie, or lie down and doze off.
When the drip finishes, about 45-60 minutes later, your provider removes the needle, bandages your arm, and provides recovery instructions.
